So is it okay to publish my solution elsewhere?

In the about sections it says about publishing solutions elsewhere and that the rules do not apply to the first one hundred. It's a shame then that while I was browsing Contests | HackerRank, I came across a contest for the Project Euler problems, which unfortunately has allowed users to post their solutions on any problem.

I realise there is not much that can be done about this, but thought I'd just make you aware

I personally think the Project Euler Team is misguided in their attempts to keep the solutions to the problems private. I recently solved a 5% problem (https://projecteuler.net/problem=800), and I was thinking I would still had enough fun solving this problem even if someone had shown me the solution ... The Project Euler Team gets very sensitive about Eulerians' ranks and Statistics etc ... I think that takes the fun out of Project Euler ...

Here is where I am coming from, either (i) you can solve problem 800 on your own as is, or (ii) you wait until you get the 'aha', or (iii) you see the solution and marvel at how a concept taught in early undergrad CS courses is used to solve this problem ... under the garb of prime numbers and what not, the problem is about applying a concept that you would learn in undergrad CS courses ... as long as you can make this connection I believe you got something of value from this problem ...
