Problems on The Website

Post by ascii »

I've completed the first 5 or so problems and have been having some troubles with the website. I'm sorry I couldn't find the right section to post this on, but this is the best I saw because there was no technical help section :) Anyhow everytime I logon to the website it says logon successful and redirects me to the homepage. But after that whenever I click to go to another page like the problems section it automatically logs me out again. This makes it impossible for me to actually submit my answer to any of the problems! Please help, thank you!

It sounds like you have cookies disabled in your browser - if I turn off cookies and try to login I get the exact symptoms you mentioned. Though if they were disabled you probably wouldn't have been able to log into the forum..

You could try looking at the options for cookies in your browser, or try another browser to see if the same thing happens there. Have you had any problems logging into any other websites?

Yeah I tried clearing all my cookies for this website to no avail, so I'm not really sure what to do, and other websites work perfectly. However when I tried it on IE the same thing happened, so maybe the problems are deeper than I thought...

I would be glad to help, but the information you have given so far seems insufficient.Could you post all system specifications (OS, browser, plugins, anything that might be involved) for which these problems occur?

In the meantime, check that PE is not on the 'unsafe sites' list; really the only thing I can think of now.
