Re: Awards Update
I +1 that something seems off with awarding Mount Euler. For example Radewoosh doesn't have it even though he definitely satisfies the requirements and he has solved some problems since the introduction of this award. On the other hand Euler Bot from the Discord said that icy001 seems to have been awarded that award thrice (12.02 18:28, 8.03 22:45 and 9.03 7:35) - I don't guarantee that the bug is not on the Euler Bot's side, but it matches my suspicions about it

Re: Awards Update
Thank you for reporting this. There was an issue. If the award had been unlocked, then it was being lost after solving a recent problem. Difficulty awards cannot be unlocked with recent problems because difficulties haven't been finalised. It should have left previously unlocked difficulty based awards alone, but instead it was resetting that particular one.
I have fixed the issue causing this, but they will need to unlock it again. This will either happen if they solve any problem in the archives or if they visit the Awards tab on their Progress page they will unlock it again.

Re: Awards Update
I have another idea for awards: something for either solving 1 in every {2, 3, 4, 5} problems, or having a max gap between solves of {1, 2, 3, 4}. This is similar to the ultimate decimator award but much harder, and encourages solving over a wide range

Re: Awards Update
I have been on and off with Ultimus Decimator. My progress is 91/92, now. But, considering what are already in archive one in every 10 for 93 rows, and what I solved in archive are also one in every 10 for 93 rows (including the row of 931)
I know I missed the row of 611, but shouldn't my progress technically 93/93?

Re: Awards Update
The row beginning 931 does not count because the entire row is not in the archives.

Does High Five award take into consideration double drops like the 948 and 949?
I have 944-948 solved, but I haven't received the award yet. I am guessing it is because 949 is sitting there gleefully unsolved at 100% difficulty.

Well, does 949 belong to the five most recent problems? I don't think that the outcome should be surprising :paryabhatta_euler wrote: Sun Jun 08, 2025 6:04 pm Does High Five award take into consideration double drops like the 948 and 949?

Well, you have 4 solved, waiting to solve the fifth recent one and they drop two, It is a bit unfair I saySwistakk wrote: Sun Jun 08, 2025 9:05 pmWell, does 949 belong to the five most recent problems? We can argue either way, just trying to figure out what was intended, and an implied suggestion to not count 949 in case of double drops.

Re: Awards Update
As Swistakk suggested, once two problems drop they both become part of the five most recent. But as you said, aryabhatta_euler, any other time you would have earned "High Five". So, I've manually unlocked the award for you.

Where did my Bonus Problem go?
After solving about 60 problems, the solved screen said I earned a bonus problem but I didn't click on it right away!
Now I don't know how to access it. I think it said it was the Heegner problem. I thought it would be unlocked on my Bonus tab but it just shows five question marks. Can anyone help?
hacatu wrote: Thu Dec 12, 2024 7:32 pm Can we get hint on how exactly bonus problems are awarded? Is it purely random (as I think most people suspect)? If so, what are the chances? Does it depend on the time/difficulty/number of solves?
Also, I definitely think that bonus problems should not require you to click them on the solved screen, so that people can't possibly miss them by accident. I did not miss any this way, but it did take me 76 solves to unlock all the bonus problems. I know the fewest needed to unlock all 4 was at most 13, but there could be even more extreme counts

Re: Awards Update
When you unlock a bonus problem it says:
Yes, it's fun for them to unlock, but there is no rush. The more problems you solve, the more likely they will unlock. Some of them are tough problems to solve and you're likely to require the experience gained from tackling lots of other problems first. Currently you've got about 900 more problems to pick from! You must click the bonus problem image now to complete the unlock.
After that you can access the problem any time on your Progress page under the Bonus tab.

I accidentally refresh my page before i could click the button to unlock my second bonus problem.
On reddit i found bonus problem names, which i pasted in url one by one and got the problem that i lost
https://projecteuler.net/problem={bonus ... _name_here}
like
https://projecteuler.net/problem=secret
Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/projecteuler/c ... lem_names/
This method will only work if you have actually got the chance to unlock a bonus problem.

Re: Awards Update
Why would you give the user one chance to click the bonus? If you are willing to give them the bonus problem, why not just put it on the bonus page?euler wrote: Sun Sep 07, 2025 11:02 pm When you unlock a bonus problem it says:Yes, it's fun for them to unlock, but there is no rush. And if you insist on making them click the link, then perhaps highlight the message to make it very obvious that there is something there for them to read other than the usual congratulations for solving a problem? I almost closed the page without clicking the link.

The description, "I see a target. Good hunting, 47", presumably refers to the Hitman video games (Sicarius = assassin in Latin), but every other award makes it clear what's required to achieve the award. This one, not so much.
