How Do I ... submit coded solutions?

Hello.
On projecteuler.net, I see that many people are listed for each problem with the programming languages they used listed next to them.
For me, on each problem, the only possibility I have to submit anything is the final answer, which I compute on my local computer and type in.
Is there another way people submit? If not, how is it possible that PE knows what language they used?

In the Account tab of Project Euler you can set the programming language you are using to solve the problems ...
