Re: Summer 2017 Website Update
Good spot. Fixed.
I tried putting it above, but it didn't look right. Another option is to place it to the left of the sign-in information panel, but it's not meant to be obtrusive and it seems to sit there quite well just below. Were you experiencing a placement problem in your browser?

Re: Summer 2017 Website Update
The Statistics pages seem OK now.
There is a problem with the Archives page and the Recent page.
Below part of the Archives page with a sized down window: It interferes now with the body of the page

The second column on the countries page is labeled as "Number..." but gives the percentage.

@Hans: You must have a very narrow window. Try it now.
@Robert_OConnor: Thanks for pointing that out. I've just corrected it; the same was true on the languages page too.

Re: Summer 2017 Website Update
euler,
a slightly serious one.
I solved a problem 293 today. In the confirmation page, I can only see the Green tick man. Nothing else. No way to access the thread from the answer confirmation page. Is the change intended??
Solved another one. But this time everything was alright. Don't know why.

Did it register as solved or did you have to enter the answer again?

It was registered as solved... But the statement about not sharing with anyone else with Euler's picture, that was missing. But as I said, it was alright for the second problem I solved yesterday.

Thanks for reporting it. There's nothing I can see in the scripts that could fail, so I do not like it when something goes wrong and I can't see why. We'll just have to keep an eye on it.

Re: Summer 2017 Website Update
Last night I tested the site two times and couldn't reproduce the problem.
Could it be that the page was only partially loaded due to a temporary slow connection or some hickup at the server?

Yeah... that might be possible, I think...

Re: Summer 2017 Website Update
Hello,
I just solved a problem today and looking at the statistics for France I was very surprised to see that I am now about fifty places farther than a week ago. Not a big deal as I don’t see this as a competition, but it seems rather strange and, for sure, there are not 50 persons, now preceding me, which have solved a problem during the last week in France.
May be, with the new version, some errors have been corrected. Again, I don’t care a lot about this ranking, but I am just curious. Have you some explanation for this change?

Re: Summer 2017 Website Update
euler,
can you please fix this page: https://projecteuler.net/show=all
This helps sometimes when I try to identify a problem having forgotten both the title and the problem number.
Also, the titles of Problem 173 and 174 need a bit of a cleaning I guess.

Re: Summer 2017 Website Update
@MuthuVeerappanR: I don't know how that happened as it was working the other day!? Anyway, it is fixed now.
@lscrd: Previously the tables only showed members that had been active in the last 365 days. It didn't seem fair that members who had earned a particular rank, but for one reason or another are not currently active, completely disappeared. So along with the update this week it now shows everyone who has ever earned a particular place.

Euler,
Thanks for your reply.
I didn’t realize that the scores were only those of members active in the last 365 days (or, maybe, I have forgotten this fact). But, indeed, it seems fair to show all the scores. Now, I will have to work hard to be visible again on the first page

Re: Summer 2017 Website Update
Iscrd,
I have had the same experience - I have just solved p126, which has given me more trouble than any other I have solved so far, and hoped that by doing do I had edged my way to within touching distance of the England top 50, but find instead that I am now barely in the top 100! I quickly realised why, and think that entirely fair.

Re: Summer 2017 Website Update
Very minor detail: There is no highlighting on the 'Countries' page when using the 'Dark' theme. (There is highlighting on the 'Languages' page, but if I recall correctly something like this was already there before the recent update?)

Re: Summer 2017 Website Update
Do you mean highlighting the row of the country you're from? This was a minor update and was not present in the last build. If so, then I tested it in light and dark themes and it is working for me in both Firefox and Chrome. I can only suggest that you try doing a hard refresh (usually holding CTRL and pressing F5) to ensure that your browser's cached CSS file is properly updated.
If this was the issue then could you re-check and let me know if it resolves. If it's something else, then sorry for the misunderstanding, and could you provide a little more information on the issue.

Re: Summer 2017 Website Update
My apologies — CTRL + F5 fixed it (and the new 'Dark' highlighting is much nicer than the style I had cached on the languages page I must say!)

Re: Summer 2017 Website Update
No problem. Good to hear it resolved. Personally I use the light theme, so I've never really given much love to the dark theme. I'm sure it could do with more attention, but I did spend some time making it better balanced.
