Animations

May I know what software does the PE team uses to create cool graphics(for instance for problem 246 and 161)?
I normally use nodebox to create such animations , but I was wondering if there is any other software which is as easy to use as this one.

I created them using a homemade programmable drawing program that saves the individual images as gif's.
Then I used an animated gif creator I found somewhere (I forgot where) and that could be attached to my program.
Unfortunately the entire interface and documentation of my program is in my mother language (Dutch).
That would make a not so userfriendly interface for someone not speaking Dutch.
I stopped developing this program years ago.....
