Getting user data from site programatically

I have created a Python IDE specifically for the first 100 problems of PE aimed at beginner coders (which I always feel like I am).
The IDE has:
All problem descriptions, data files, and additional info files.
Code editor with syntax highlighting.
Code runner with error reporting.
Helper (module) file system with editor.
Code template (snippets) system with editor.
Data file handling system (displays file contents and does automated import to list variable for easy use)
Progress system similar to PE website with achievements and badges.
Tutorial system that can create/display template or custom tutorials for educational use.
It is open source under the MIT license and can be used in any way you see fit.
I would love to be able to sign into my PE account using the IDE and then check my solution answers automatically. It would be nice to integrate progress info for the PE website into the app as well. Perhaps even pulling in problem descriptions, data files, and info files directly from the website instead of having it all local (reducing size of deployment package quit a bit). I would love some help to lead me in the direction of how to make some of this possible. I am a rookie at web programming and am not sure how to get started. Is there an official API for the site ( with docs I hope)? If you can help let me know and feel free to check out my IDE if interested. It definitely has kinks that a real programmer could and would work out but so far it has worked for me.
