i cannot viw the statistics and lists by countries nor each user profile of the top1000.
was this feature disabled?

They were at least temporarily disabled. If we find a way to do it without pressurizing the database, they're likely to come back.

Yeah... This is horrible. One of the main things that made me solve Project Euler problems is an in-group tournament between me and some friends from Bulgaria. Now when there are no user or country stats, tracking their progress becomes pretty hard and is turning me away from Project Euler and to Kongregate.com

Please, please, please fix the country stats.

I miss them too - there are a couple of people whose progress I was following.

Could they be made semi-static, like the top 1000 list, perhaps updated daily?

I just wanted to put in my 2 cent worth and request that this feature return. I would be fine with a (statically cached) daily update of progress. Just something that I and my friends can watch each other progress. Thanks!

Hey.. me too. I'd love to see those stats back online! Can't it be made, like said earlier, semi-static? Like the top 1000 list?

Today (when I write this) PE has 18793 registered members. 5 days ago this number was 18492.
That's an increase of 301, that's 60 per day.
For the last months this daily increase has been on average 60-80 a day.
If you extrapolate this for the next year PE would then have between 40000 and 50000 registered members .
I checked the size of a page from the top 1000 list: 56kB (for 100 members)
50000/100*56=28000kb that's 28 Mb.
So you are asking to generate and store about that amount.
As the rate of growth has been increasing over the last months there's no guarantee that the number of registered users would not even grow faster.
I think we need our server resources to cope with the ever increasing load of viewing the problem pages and checking the answers.

Well there would be no database problems if you generate the per-country pages daily. That would not make database queries on each page request but simply put a daily generated page with statistics. The only problem is that it may not be up-to-date each time we chek it but I guess we can all live with that

I think is pretty sad to have this feature disable... it certainly was one of the major motivations for me to solve the problems. The posibility to track the progresion of friends is something important for me

I sugest you to implement the "daily generated" "semi-static" way. I think it'll be enought for most people
