Overviews visibility

I recently have realized there are some pretty good written and insightful overviews in project euler. For the purpose of learning I would like to solve mostly problems with an overview available. But currently there is no way of knowing beforehand which problems have overview. Could it be possible (and worthy for the community) to implement such a function, I mean, showing when an overview (filtering problems with overview) is available even when you haven't solved the problem yet?

Showing which problems have an overview associated with them seems like a reasonable request. On the Archives page it will now show a grey-scaled PDF icon next to any problems for which an overview is available and has not been currently solved.

Thank you so much euler for such a fast response :)

I would also like to request the ability to filter by overview. I just solved PE351, which has an overview, and am wondering how many past problems I solved already have an overview without manually searching through the list.

It would also be nice to have a PDF icon/link in the problem description page as well (greyed out if unsolved, red if solved). Then you don't have to navigate to some other page to access.

There are only 6 overviews for problems with three digit numbers and the newest one has 9 years. I feel like a filter for that would be underwhelming :p

:(

Did you write them down? Maybe if you post them on here others can benefit.

At the moment the overview links are already on the problem view page below the problem (assuming you have solved it), but I'll add an icon link to the top next to the info icon. This will appear in the next site update along with a some other changes. I'll also add an overview filter, but as Swistakk said, the number of overviews are quite limited compared to the size of the problem set.

We're always on the lookout for members writing quality overviews to add to the collection, but I suspect that they're less important now we have the option to show the best posts in the threads. This generally finds the most insightful observations about the problem.

Thanks Mr. Euler!

I didn't realise overviews were community sourced. Maybe when I have some free time I'll take a crack. I presume submissions can be made via email?
