Problem 412

In the description for Problem 412, it says that "the number in every cell is smaller than the number below it and to the left of it." Does this mean the number in every cell is smaller than the one diagonally to the left of it and below it, or does it mean the number in every cell is smaller than the number directly to the left of it and also smaller than the number directly below it?

In order to get the first sample answer of 42 to be correct, it looks like the second interpretation. The correct sentence should be:

.. such that the number in every cell is smaller than the numbers below it and to the left of it.

or

.. such that the number in every cell is smaller than the number below it and the number to the left of it.
