For logged in members, please add the default filter/sort in the profile.

For instance right now, I'm on a problems fever: I'm making all of them nearly in a row. However if I want to go the next unsolved problem, I need to:

• know which problem I wish to solve and browse through the pages by cliking
• or see all unsolved problems, accessible only by clicking.

So, I would say that it would be a good thing if I had an option in my profile that allows me to get all the unsolved problems as "home page" of the problems list instead of the complete list (typically when we access http://projecteuler.net/index.php?section=problems from anywhere).

On the problems page you can filter for unsolved problems.
If you would combine that with sort by ascending ID I think you get what you are asking for.

Also, from http://projecteuler.net/index.php?section=profile you can directly access each problem by clicking on the tick or question mark.

That is exactly my point: too much clicks. I already use the sort/filter tools, but that's really annoying. If I could choose my own default sorting/filter, I'd be very happy, hence the proposal for the update in the profile.

If I'm not mistaken the filter/sort is kept in your cookie between sessions if you don't delete your cookie in between.
If you choose the right options in your browser there is no need to store these options in your profile.
So I think the problem is the settings of your browser.

All my cookies are completely removed once I close my browser. Too much concerns about my privacy leads to less usability on some sites...
