I had found the answer before posting, in fact a few posts above this one. But again, I really would want the statement of the problem itself to include all the necessary elements to come to a solution.

I think this is a case where information about how the prize money is calculated, especially as it is not actually part of the problem per se. This is a problem about probabilities, not about how casinos calculate maximum prize money, right?
