The Eulerians list seems to be down at the moment - when I go to
https://projecteuler.net/eulerians, the page is empty apart from the header and the info panel with my user name and the current date.
When I look at the html source, the page ends prematurely after this code:
...
<div id="content">
<div id="statistics_page">
BTW, this is not the first time I have noticed this.

@jaap: I'll have to look into that when I have a bit more time on my hands, but it is crazy busy at the moment with school work. I was hoping to go to Comic Con in Wales this weekend. I'd even bought my ticket, but, alas!, too much marking to get done.

Thanks for that, and it was useful to know it wasn't the first time you'd seen it. It should be fixed now, but please let me know if you, or anyone, spots it again.

Problem 205
Peter has nine four-sided (pyramidal) dice, each with faces numbered 1, 2, 3, 4.
Colin has six six-sided (cubic) dice, each with faces numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
Peter and Colin roll their dice and compare totals: the highest total wins. The result is a draw if the totals are equal.
What is the probability that Pyramidal Pete beats Cubic Colin? Give your answer rounded to seven decimal places in the form 0.abcdefg
In line 1 and 3, this written "Peter", "Peter and Colin".
In line 4, this written "Pyramidal Pete beats Cubic Colin".
Which is correct, Peter or Pete?

Both are correct. Pete is a diminutive form of the name Peter.
Bug in Lisp syntax highlighting

Hi all,
I noticed a minor bug the other day. Apparently, the current syntax highlighting for Lisp paints the characters between 2 asterisks in red to highlight variables written in the so-called "bunny ears" notation (e.g. (defvar *some-var* ...), but this isn't always appropriate because it mishandles the '*' and 'let*' functions.
In one of my posts, the highlighting came out more or less as:
(let* ((some-var ...
...
... (*
Maybe this isn't hard to fix.

A small typo: the sum in the last line of problem 421 appears as "∑" instead of a sum symbol.

Thanks. Fixed (I hope).

On problem 461, there is a inconsistent space in "$d^2$" so it currently renders as "$d^{\text{ }2}$".

.. but this is a maths problem, not an IELTS exam. ESL folk will be unnecessarily be tripped up by this.

I'm totally at a loss what IELTS and ESL stand for.
So imho the pot is calling the kettle black.

All looks fine in my browser.
More nitpicking to be had?

I think ESL is 'English as Second Language' and IELTS is a standard English test for non-native English speakers.
OK, admittedly I am a native English speaker myself, and terrible at other languages, so maybe I'm not in the best position to judge, but I tend to agree with hk that it should be fairly obvious that Peter and Pete mean the same person here, particularly within the context of the question, which is fairly concise, so there's not much room for confusion. And 'Pyramidal Pete' does have a nice ring to it.

Hello. I have been having all sorts of problems with my account today. In the morning I could not stay logged in long enough to submit an answer. Then I logged out and couldn't log back in. I used account recovery and generated a new key and changed my password to something I know I would remember. This seemed to work and I answered a problem correctly. When I went to answer another problem it would not accept any answers, it would simply clear all the text fields without so much as a warning. I tried logging out and now I am logged out and cannot log back in. I am using Chrome although I have tried using Firefox. Any help explanation would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I met the same "sign in" problem with bjm2144.
Firstly I solved a problem, then I tried to post in the discussion thread, but it kept failing. So I tried to change the post content and occasionally successed (please check thread of problem 352), but now I cannot edit it!
I guessed it's a cookies thing and cleared all cookies. At this time I even cannot sign in. The page keeps jump back to the sign in page, I checked F12 and there's a 302 at sign in page.
Therefore I come here to find some help. Thank you.

Same problem. I can't sign in and the page is not showing any messages like 'Confirmation code is not valid' or 'Credentials are wrong'. It just redirects again to the login page.

I am having the same problem in Safari. I either cannot sign in, or if I manage that I get booted out again once I get to the problem I am doing.

Problem resolved on its own after a few minutes.
UPDATE: It surfaces again. Refreshed the page and I was logged out. Now again the 'sign in' problem.

I am still having the same problem. My recovery key is not working to recover my account and I am always redirected to the login page, sometimes it says the confirmation code is incorrect.

Hello everyone. Created this account to make this post.
I'm trying to submit an answer for problem 42, and after I submit my answer, the page refreshes without displaying a screen informing me whether I was correct or not, like the site usually does. No messages appear near the top of the screen most of the time, although sometimes it will erroneously tell me I entered the captcha wrong when I haven't.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes - just as you describe, since last night.
