How to request a thread comment be archived?

In one of the problems I solved, I thought I saw a solution that was not necessary the fastest, but rather unique. A few months later the solution is gone now. I was wondering about the process that comments after 100 are archived and the criteria for selecting ones to be archived.

It's not a perfect process, but awarding kudos to non-archived posts increases the likelihood that they will be archived. When they reach a certain threshold, team members will be able to see this and make an assessment to determine if it adds something helpfully new or offering a different approach to existing ideas. If so, it will be made permanent.
