Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs

To be honest, I don't know who is in charge of the Twitter feed and the bot that scrapes data, but nevertheless it does seem to capture something strange going on. I checked the DB and your official time is 8:47.40, tshark solved the same problem at 8:45.04 placing him/her in 36th position. The time...

Re: "You are the nth person to solve this problem"

Sadly there is no way for you to access this information after you have solved the problem. Due to the way that the "solved" data is stored in each member's profile it is a fairly intensive process; the data is compressed in such a way that is optimised for members to access their own data, not perf...

Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs

Sometimes it happens that the caches get corrupted during generation. It will resolve itself in 12 hours (when the old cache expires) and normally it is rare, but two at the same time suggests something is going on. I've fixed those two mentioned, but I'll keep an eye on it.

If only all fixes were as easy as that! And thanks for pointing me immediately to the right place. It should be fixed.

Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs

Sorry, but I've just noticed this. Could you send me a PM with your account name and the name of the different account you were seeing? It would be helpful if you could outline as many details as possible in the PM: Were you in a public place? Did you recognise the name of the account? Did you have ...

Re: Display issue

Good spot on both counts. With the recent changes to the website and updates to the style sheets for the dark theme I had to manually edit a large number of problems. It seems that I'd messed-up on those two problems. They should both now be fixed. Thanks for taking the time to report it. If you spo...

Re: New awards.

We're always open to ideas. Obviously we hope the primary drive is wanting to solve the problems, but when so much lies before members, then awards definitely help focus and provide goals. I'm on Easter break next week, so I'll have a look at all of the suggestions, discuss them with the team, and s...

Re: Project Euler Style Sheet Update

Thank you to those who pointed out the issues with certain elements not displaying clearly in the dark theme since the update. We have systematically worked through all of the problems to manually fix each of these issues and believe that everything should be displaying adequately now. If you still ...

Kudos for quickly fixing minor problems and helping with my forum access issue!

I still see a few remaining issues, all relating to dark mode...
Wow! Thank you very much for taking the time to identify those problems. I'll work through each of them when I get the time.

Re: Project Euler Style Sheet Update

@Ebrahim2000: I've modified the style sheet for the dark theme to place a white background behind transparent images. This was only an issue with earlier problems. More recent problems tend to be created on a solid background to accommodate both themes. I've also edited a few of the problems that ma...

Interesting?! I had a look at the previous style sheets and it doesn't seem to have been highlighted in quite some time. Anyway, it should highlighted now.

Re: Project Euler Style Sheet Update

Thanks for the feedback. I'm pleased that we all like the new look.

@MHealy: Posts made should now be fixed.

@bonsaihawk: Problem solved. You are now free to borrow and steal.

I've modified the colours slightly in the solutions forum to add a bit of contrast. Hopefully it looks better now.

Re: Project Euler Style Sheet Update

Sorry about that and thank you for the heads-up. I'd forgotten to update one of the files on the server. It should be working now. @gbroxey: Just checked. It was because the active members Statistics page was cached from the old design. I've manually refreshed the cache for that page and it should b...

Project Euler Style Sheet Update

As technology has evolved it seems that Project Euler has taken time to catch-up. A common request in recent years has been to modify the style sheets to be make the website mobile device friendly. This includes a responsive framework that should dynamically adapt the display to accommodate a variet...

At the moment it looks like the account "davecube" has solved 1 problem. It could be you have two different accounts or you previously reset your progress.

Re: Statistics on problems solved so far

Glad you guys like it. Along with the tribute to all of our valued members of the community from the Netherlands, it does seem to fit better with the colour scheme of the level award badges too. I'll make a brief news announcement to let people know that their page is not broken. Most of the ...

Re: Statistics on problems solved so far

Hovering and showing which problems would result in too much text for those who have solved many problems. Instead what I have done is changed the colouring system when a problem is solved. The shading indicates the difficulty of the problem.

When I view your profile image I see you have currently solved 43 problems: https://projecteuler.net/profile/Smetad_Anarkist.png As @v6ph1 explained, you may need to manually refresh your cache if you've only just solved a new problem or two. However, any images more than one hour old are automatica...
