Re: Statistics on problems solved so far

Glad you guys like it. Along with the tribute to all of our valued members of the community from the Netherlands, it does seem to fit better with the colour scheme of the level award badges too. I'll make a brief news announcement to let people know that their page is not broken. Most of the ...

Re: Statistics on problems solved so far

Hovering and showing which problems would result in too much text for those who have solved many problems. Instead what I have done is changed the colouring system when a problem is solved. The shading indicates the difficulty of the problem.

Re: Problem with progress badge?

When I view your profile image I see you have currently solved 43 problems: https://projecteuler.net/profile/Smetad_Anarkist.png As @v6ph1 explained, you may need to manually refresh your cache if you've only just solved a new problem or two. However, any images more than one hour old are automatica...

Re: Mark problems that can be figured out through math alone

This is all part of the incremental learning process. Many who are new to these types of problems will brute force some of the earlier ones. If they read the overview exists or the associated problem thread, then they will quickly realise that there are far more efficient ways to crack the nut than ...

Re: Notifications...

I apologise, Ken, it was me that removed the other thread. I did it because it was a sticky, "How do I... get notifications?" It seemed unhelpful to have a thread like that remaining in public view. I should have sent you a PM as you had made a recent post in that thread.

Thanks for suggesting a suitable grouping. I've added "Lambda Calculus" to the list.

Re: Your registration form tricked me

I'm not sure what you mean about the registration form tricking you and I'd like to know more about that, because no one has reported that before. So could you please let me know what happened.

I think is a glitch in the matrix. I've just checked your account and the answer does not seem to have been accepted.

I'm just working on a fix...

Re: Export lifetime progress?

On the Progress page, I've added a link at the bottom of your problem history table (most recent 25 problems) that will download a text file containing the problems you have solved in order and the date (if available).

Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs

It's usually due to an issue that occurred when the page was being cached. It seems to be very rare and it has happened before, but I don't know what causes it. Fortunately, it should resolve by itself automatically the next time the cache renews (usually 12 hours after creation).

Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs

Unfortunately I have no control over how Safari renders/interacts with MathJax nor can I test it myself. I can only suggest that you use their issue tracker at GitHub to report the problem: https://github.com/mathjax/MathJax/issues However, before you do that I'd suggest you create a document on you...

Re: Notifications...

As Animus mentioned, if you click on your username in the top right a drop-down menu will appear. Select User Control Panel, then select Board Preferences tab on the top and Edit Notification Options on the left menu. Here you can turn on and turn off whether or not you receive emails. Generally you...

Re: Organize / Display type of problem

Not directly, but by default you will be viewing "All" problems. There is a link at the top of each Archives table which says, "View the details of all problems on one page", where "all problems" is a clickable link that will take you to a page showing all problems. If you change the filter type for...

Re: old solutions forum post truncated at non-ascii char

I'm not sure how that happened, but I guess at some point I must have made some mass conversion and the process had effected a number of posts; there will undoubtedly be a small number of other posts that have been lost in the same way. Fortunately for you, I was able to go through the DB archives a...
