Not a problem. I just glad you managed to sort it for your own peace of mind.
I'm not sure about why Chrome is doing that. I've noticed it and Firefox doing it with me on different sites and it doesn't seem to be consistent. Perhaps someone reading your post might be able to offer some insights?

Re: username unknown problem
We don't delete accounts, so you must have registered with a different username. I've checked other usernames with 4406 in them and there are a few, but the only one to have solved more than one problem has solved 15 problems. I also checked a DB archive from some time ago and there is no user calle...

Re: Can't log in to account
Accounts are entirely anonymous. You did not create an emergency account recovery key, so technically there is no way to retrieve your account.
I've sent you a PM.

The statement was still true: In England the currency is made up of..., but you're absolutely right. It is the currency of all four countries within the UK. I've changed the wording to reflect that. Thanks for pointing it.

@philiplu: Nice idea. I finally got around to implementing it. And thanks for the reminder, @youth4ever. I've added two related awards: Difficulty Explorer : Solve at least one problem at ten different difficulty levels Conquering Difficulties Solve at least one problem at all of the difficulty levels

Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs
Thanks for reporting this. I do get emails when the site goes down and I notice it went down twice yesterday at around 02.50 (UK time) for 15 minutes and 20.20 for 15 minutes. I'll keep an eye on things.

Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs
Thanks for reporting this. This forum was moved today and in that process it seems that the DNS records for the main site were affected. It may take a short time for the DNS to update, but everything should be sorted now. Hopefully this is the last issue we face and all sites (.net and .chat) should...

Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs
As far as I can see, the issue with the text boxes are the form on the bottom of the page, which is nested in a table with a fixed 400px width. If I modify the width of that table, the problem disappears. Nested tables... Ugh! I have no idea when that unnecessary HTML crept in. They have been remov...

Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs
I'm glad you appreciate the effort. I've fixed most of those issues, but I can't replicate the answer box not fitting. As it's not a major CSS update I've not changed the file tag to force a browser update, so you'll probably need to hard refresh the cache to fix the hamburger/colour height mismatch...

Re: Why does the amount of 80% problems keep changing?
Yes, since problem #277 the difficulty rating is based on the time taken to solve the problem taken from the fastest solvers tables. It could, in theory, change slightly if one of the members in the fastest solvers changed their account status to private or deleted it and the next fastest person to ...

Re: Problem 94 typo
DJohn is right, but sometimes common usage makes what is best practice obsolete. Warning: Potentially boring grammar lesson ahead... An adjective is used to modify or add an attribute to a noun (name of a thing). For example, when you have tasty food, the word "tasty" is used to add a quality (tasti...

Re: Why does the amount of 80% problems keep changing?
If by 80% you're referring to the difficulty rating, then you will notice (as I make this post) that problem #671 is currently not finalised due to only having 99 solvers; a problem requires 100 solvers to be finalised. It's possible that it has been moving between 75% or 85% as it has been approach...

That's strange. It was working yesterday when I made my last post. Then this morning it wasn't working. I can't even be sure what I did, but it seems to be working again. We'll have to keep an eye on it. Please report here if the images stop working again.

Do you mean the profile images? I can see your profile image now. Was it not working earlier, but is working now, or is it something else you were referring to?

Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs
I apologise for the SSL certificate issue today. I can assure you that our current certificate (due for renewal in March 2020) is perfectly valid. We had an internal migration today between servers and it should have happened silently. However, there seemed to be an issue with the configuration of t...

Thanks for reporting it. We appreciate issues being reported. But thank you also for taking the time to let us know that you managed to resolve it. I'll keep an eye out, just in case there is some underlying issue that might effect other members.

Re: Old account dont have recovery key
Due to the anonymity of accounts there is no way to prove a particular account belongs to any individual. I am sure that you are the real owner of that account, but if we just deleted accounts because someone asked us to, then you could imagine how such requests could be abused.

Thanks for letting me know. I suspect it was a caching issue and as they cache every 12 hours it would have coincided with the time when we had issues with the DB migration last night. It should all look good again now.

As Hans said the issue has now been fixed. I posted the following item in the news feed to keep everyone else informed: To keep the website running optimally it becomes necessary for our hosts to periodically migrate the DB to a new server. We are very grateful for their diligence in this matter and...

I've just got in from being out with my family. Our hosts are now aware of the issue and hopefully they'll fix it soon.
Thanks.
Thanks.
