Re: Problem 059

The original message was a part of the Bible. Some members took offense with that, so we changed the message.
Well, you can read that in the first message in the forum for this problem, can't you?

Re: Joining the Problem Development Team

First of all: to be able to judge if new problems haven't been published already and if new problems fit in PE's profile one should have solved almost all problems. When we are recruiting team members propose candidates they think might be performing well as team member. The only ground for those as...

Re: Joining the Problem Development Team

When we are looking for new members of the development team we ask people to join us. That's the reason why there is no information how to apply for joining us.

Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs

We cannot make two consecutive posts in the same solution forum. I think you should be able to edit your post and add the content in the same post. I think you misunderstood the problem. The post is not shown in the problem thread so it cannot be edited. Hopefully it is just a caching problem that ...

Re: Problem 672

Is "no nothing" a typo for "do nothing"? Yes. Corrected. Shouldn't there be a floor function around the $\frac{7^K-1}{11}$ term? I don't think there is a universally accepted meaning for a sum where the upper limit for the index variable is not an integer. Please investigate if $\frac{7^K-1}{11}$ i...

Re: Recover account

Oops. I'm getting old ;-(
Well, trying to remember your password is the only way to recover your account as you didn't generate an account recovery key.
Hint: perhaps you changed your password last year.

So it seems that you remembered your password after all.

(usually people find out their password after some head scratching.)

Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs

There's no bug.
When tshark solved #669 his account was unlisted. After solving #669 he made his account public again.
Please note that unlisted accounts can be made public again.

Please change that username. I'm not intending to remember that that isn't a suspicious username.
By not changing it you're taking the risk of being permanently delisted again.

Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs

Hi, I haven't logged into my account for a long while (10 years, I believe) after graduating from high school. I participated in OI/ACM/Topcoder/Codeforces at that time. The day before yesterday one of my current fellow students asked me about how to solve Problem 667 and I logged back, solved it i...

Re: Problem 663

This board is not meant to discuss solutions.
As made clear from the onset it is meant to resolve problems with understanding what is asked.
As far as I can see both of you understand perfectly what is asked.
Attemps to discuss things further will be deleted.
