### Re: Problem 054

I do think this is considered a straight 5 high.

Are there many hands where this is a problem? Otherways you can try 2 or 3 values if there are a few hands with this occurence.

### Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs

Yes, many of the problems here are based on well known formulas, theorems, algorithms and so on. If you are researching a problem, you are learning and you might also come indirectly across the solution. It happens. I don't think there is anything you can do about it. But researching a topic and sea...

Another way of saying "last 9 digits" would be mod(1,000,000,000).
In most cases yeah, but not always

### Problem difficulty promotion

I see that sometimes it happens that some previous problems get their difficulty increased even far past 100 solvers mark. Is there any way to know which ones?

### Re: Project Euler Style Sheet Update

I like most of the changes. Good job :) Since you are doing it all in your spare time, I dont think I want to bother you with things I dont like :D However I agree that some color change should be done to solution discussion forum. I think adding some brownish like background color to top line of ea...

### Re: Weird runtime behavior

Such low discrepancies dont matter much. It depends on whether how much computing power your computer is allowing the program to have during running. Sometimes it will not have the maximum possible computing power and it will cause a bit higher running time. Test the program on higher inputs, for ex...

### Re: Some problem and user statistics

Yep It was a typo. The table was for the users with most top3 finishes but without ever managing to take the number 1 :) Here is the table for most top10 finishes without ever getting the gold medal: 1. : djdolls : 76 2. : cmk : 66 3. : umu : 46 4. : DerekLedbetter : 40 5. : sergej.samborskij : 35 6...

### Re: Some problem and user statistics

Thank you for the ideas. I will soon try to check those too. There are really many ways to look at those problems depending on what time (according to your local time) the problem was published and what the difficulty of the problem was. I would guess that users are most effective for problems publi...

### Some problem and user statistics

Since the fastest solvers table for problem 650 was filled pretty quick (a little over 6 hours) I got an idea to redo some analysis on problems which I did as a project for some course at university 3 - 4 years ago. Anyway I hope you will find the statistics interesting. I definitely did. I took fas...

This is the guy you are looking for

Sadly you cannot track all the aliases. All you can get is the persons current alias or his original name. However if the person is regularly changing his aliases, he will be harder to track down in problem threads

### Re: Errors/Warnings/Bugs

It says that problem 644 was solved by 60 members but only 59 appear in the fastest solvers table. Don't think its a cache problems since its been showing so for a day and I have also tried force reload.

### Re: Program regularity

To be honest I would rather have a release every 2 weeks than the problem recycling. Im not even sure I get the idea. So a problem is recycled and made a bit different, but then all the people who have already solved this, will also solve the new version and for the people who havent solved it, it w...

### Inconsistency on Project Eulers problems forum

While I see the reason why the name shown in the original Project Euler problems forum is the current alias, and the quoted name of such user is his first (original) username it can sometimes be hard to pinpoint responses between replies. What I mean is the following: Suppose someone says in his pos...

### Re: Statistics on problems solved so far

Didnt feel like making another thread so I will just post this here. I think it would be a nice addition that the problem numbers would appear when you hover over the bar at some difficulty. Right now for example it says "Completed 11% of problems with difficulty rating 100%" but it can be quite tim...
