### Re: Coding to convert natural binary numbers to music

Many years ago, a group related to fractals was much more active. Some of the members had reported using the results to produce music. You may want to contact one of the 'still active' members, David Fisher (sunfish61 at protonmail dot com), who may be able to give you more information about where t...

### Re: Resouces to get better at solving Project Euler problems?

FIRST : Most problems need a sufficient level of math knowledge to be able to design a computer program to solve it. If your knowledge is presently limited to basic high school math, it may be sufficient for many of the initial 200-300 published problems. With the age of the internet, you may be ab...

### Re: Problem 059

Do I understand the problem correctly? That is hard to tell from your own description. Let's restart using your own data and hk's suggestion. - First let's "encrypt" your HELLO WORLD with your encryption key 'abc'. Rotating the key for XORing each character of the message, the end result ...

I know that there are 6 pages related to this particular problem but you were not aware of them before your first comment. Problem numbers need to be padded up front with 0's for easier search. Conclusion: Many others have had their comments/questions, and possible answers to them. Suggestion: Go th...

He most probably mean images normally displayed as part of someone's signature at the very bottom of each post. I can't see those images either, appearing only as an image icon with the title "image". A link had been posted by Jochen_P previously in this thread on Wed, 21 Aug 2019. That li...

### Re: Weird runtime behavior

As LilStalker pointed out, the timing differences should not be considered significant. And: with the "else if(i % 2 == 0) return false;" instruction in your IsPrime function, you were disregarding further processing of all even numbers anyway. (BTW, that instruction becomes redundant in y...

### Re: Problem 008

This seems to leave you with at least two choices if you want to continue enjoying solving problems on Project Euler. i.e.: A. Continue learning how to use the C programming language. Many other participants have already succeeded solving those problems using that language. B. Start learning some ot...

The example simply shows you two different ways (not ONE unique way) which would produce a square lamina as defined, using 32 square tiles. Those two would be part of the 41 different hollow laminea you could produce when you use any quantity of square tiles up to 100 in Problem 173.

It would be nice to be able to post level and/or other badges as certification PE cannot certify anything. There are too many on-line sites where one can get answers to PE problems and PE has no means to verify the honesty of those entering answers. YOU are the only one who really knows what you ma...

how or where do I post a private thread or a new thread? This all depends on the subject you want to cover in such a thread. If related to a specific PE problem: - You cannot start any new thread on the main PE site; you can only post in the existing problem thread after you have solved the problem...

You seem to have forgotten the 2nd rule, i.e.
ii . If B contains more elements than C then S(B) > S(C).

abc
def
ghi
But they must also be on the same line if you are looking at more than two items. Thus for three adjacent items, the only candidates would be:
abc, aei, adg, beh, ceg, cfi, def and ghi.

### Re: How to access the PDF containing answer explanations ?

At this time, you can't. For your info, in case you are not yet aware of it, the site was hacked a few weeks ago and was shut down as soon as it was discovered. It is being rewritten to make it more secure and hopefully will become available within the next few weeks along with the PDFs.
